52-MINUTE DOCUMENTARY

For over fifteen years, Andy Fyfe has been fighting to get businesses to take responsibility for the social and environmental emergencies redefining our world. Against the grain of Friedman-style capitalism, a handful of entrepreneurs have decided that their responsibilities go far beyond generating profit for shareholders.

Responsables brings them together. From the United States to Ivory Coast, through England, France and Sri Lanka, founders, activists and experts share the concrete initiatives they have put in place inside their companies, so that profit is never made at the expense of people or the planet.

Among them: Yvon Chouinard, Patagonia’s founder, who was among the first to think about business differently. Vincent Stanley, Patagonia’s Director of Philosophy. Paul Polman, former CEO of Unilever. And dozens of others, less well known but no less determined.

Produced by Troublemakers Originals in collaboration with Welcome to the Jungle and directed by Tristan Lochon and Julien Demond, Responsables is a frank, realistic and solution-driven documentary. A film that asks the right questions, and proves there is still time to answer them.
